2008 Lola Cars 50th Anniversary - Sunday 12th October 2008

Huntingdon provided the backdrop for a taste of Monte Carlo-style action when a symbolic parade of racing cars took to the streets of the Cambridgeshire town. The parade was a fitting hometown celebration to mark Lola Cars 50th Anniversary in 2008.

Members of Peterborough Motor Club helped to organise numerous Marshals for the occasion. Stars from half a century of Lola racing meet up with old friends and their old mounts at the parade. These personalities included John Surtees, Richard Attwood, Hugh Dibley, Jackie Epstein, Alain De Cadenet, Mike Blanchet, James Weaver, Julian Bailey, Anthony Reid and Peter Ashdown. PMC was honoured to be supporting this unique occasion . Photos of Lola 50th courtesy of V.Brierley.
